Orlando (di Lasso), Othmayr, Praetorius, and Stoltzer wrote wonderful 2-part pieces –  sometimes called Bicinia – that work beautifully on reed instruments. Get out your tenor or bass dulcian and get ready to play duets with me! Playing together lets you match your sound to mine, check your tuning, and enjoy the conversation between two lines. Playing in two parts is the basis for playing with 3, 4, or more parts in glorious polyphony. We’ll also have a quick review of dulcian basics like reed maintenance and open/closed bocal holes, to help you get the full range of notes on your dulcian and have consistently good attacks. Questions are welcome!  Open to: all louds, especially tenor and bass dulcians. Pitch: A= 440Hz
