Fanfares & Flourishes!— Sound the trumpet! Our orchestra performs a festive and light-hearted program: Exuberant music of Handel’s Suite in D for trumpet and strings (including themes from his Water Musick), along with the whimsical Don Quixote Suite by Telemann which is musical storytelling at its best, plus brilliant concertos, and the premiere of “Flourish,” composed by Frank Nowell for this occasion.
