CANCELLATION
TORONTO BACH FESTIVAL CELEBRATES ITS FIFTH SEASON
(Scheduled for May 29-31, 2020)
The Toronto Bach Festival has announced the cancellation of its fifth season, scheduled for May 29-31, due to restrictions on gatherings during the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Artistic Director John Abberger, “Steps are being taken to keep in place as much of the 2020 festival’s artistic plan as possible in May 2021.” The Festival’s special guest, British Bach authority John Butt, has confirmed his eagerness to take part at a later date, and it is expected that most, if not all of the other artists will be available as well.
Patrons who have already purchased tickets are being given the option to receive a refund, or donate the amount in return for a tax receipt, to help the Festival recover expenses already incurred.
