(New York, New York) Monday, June 15, 2020 – With artists needing to maintain the ability to earn, live streaming has become crucial to their existence with various platforms supporting ticketing and donations. Classical pianist SHIZ’KA will stream her new ambitious program BRILLIANCE & FERVOR to the Internet on June 20 at 7:30PM EST. SHIZ’KA, 26, has been described as a focused, athletic, adventurous, and spectacular performer. The performance recorded at St. John’s in the Village; NYC will be available to watch for perpetuity after its initial broadcast; it will also be released as a live album through indie label KeyMedia Group on July 20th.
She shares, “Recording this concert live was a new experience for me and I thought of it as a permanent live performance. I had to really understand that as I prepared. I practiced for this concert knowing once we started to record, both the audio and the visual, I would not be able to go back and redo. There is a rawness to the performance that is quite exciting and unpredictable.”
SHIZ’KA’s deep and personal interpretations of Scarlatti, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev showcase her enthusiasm for music dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The event is titled ETERNALLY SUMMER, celebrating the start of summer 2020, a new season, as we shift back into our everyday lives. Prokofiev live on the Internet; one wonders if he and the other iconic composers ever imagined what the future would hold for their music.
Tickets and donations for BRILLIANCE & FERVOR start at $5 and go up to $50 and are available through MUSAE here: bit.ly/shizka where you will find a full listing of the program for SHIZ’KA’s June 20th concert.
