This virtual performance directed by Dr. Bianca Hall celebrates friendship and community not only as expressed by the musical selections themselves, which include toe-tapping dances, a joyous shape note hymn, playful rounds, contemplative pieces, and a rousing sea shanty, but also through the collaborative efforts of the musicians who were involved in every step of the process, from invention to performance.
This sampling of student performances includes Baroque arias, seventeenth century Scottish instrumental music, new compositions in medieval style, and more. Performers are students of Seattle Historical Arts for Kids aged 8-18 with professional guests.
