Eighteenth-century Europe was a melting pot of diverging musical traditions. Marin Marais and Jacques-Martin Hotteterre’s music showcase essences of the French tradition; Giuseppe Sammartini represents the late Baroque Italian style; and German composers Telemann and Handel’s cosmopolitan style blends various European traditions together
