Call for Participants: A Mozart Weekend
Schulich School of Music, McGill University | May 24-25, 2025
McGill University’s Schulich School of Music (Montréal), in collaboration with the Historical Keyboard Society of North America, is pleased to announce a two-day, intensive workshop dedicated to the study and performance of Mozart’s keyboard music on period instruments. Through masterclasses, private lessons, and performances, and using McGill’s collection of historical keyboard instruments, participants will receive training on style, technique, and interpretation from leading Mozart experts:

Application & Fees
• Application deadline: April 15, 2025
• Participation fee: $80 USD | $40 USD (HKSNA members) | Waived for McGill students | Auditors attend free with registration
Repertoire: All of Mozart’s keyboard music. Participants are especially encouraged to look beyond the Piano Sonata genre and focus on Mozart’s Variations, Fantasias, Rondos, and single-movement keyboard works. Those wishing to study chamber works such as the Violin Sonatas are welcome to do so, and a faculty string player may be available to collaborate; please include this request in your application.
