On November 4, 2023, Con Gioia will present a program of truly inspiring arias and duets to commemorate the 300thanniversary of Bach’s appointment in 1723 as the Cantor of Leipzig’s four main Lutheran churches and the city’s Director of music. The concert will be at the Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church, 301 N. Orange Grove Blvd.Pasadena, CA 91013
Our featured artists will include once more two outstanding local singers, soprano Andrea Zomorodian and baritone John Buffet as well as the highly acclaimed countertenor Michael Skarke from Dallas, Texas who will be featured in the arias for alto. They will be joined by oboe soloist Lot Demeyer and our string ensemble led by Kati Kyme and Andrew Mcintosh with Preethi de Silva at the harpsichord.
