Cozzolani Reunited showcases the music of Chiara Margarita Cozzolani, one of the most skillful and expressive nun composers of 17th century Italy. Lutenist Lucas Harris painstakingly reconstructed the bass part of several of the motets that had been missing for centuries. In this concert film, Cozzolani finally gets her due and should be recognized as one of the most important composers of 17th-century sacred vocal music, regardless of gender.
