J.S. Bach’s cello suites are among the composer’s most popular, celebrated works, and like the unaccompanied partitas and sonatas for violin, their performance evokes a depth of intimacy that is hard to match in any other repertory. Washington Bach Consort cellist, Wade Davis, noted for his engaging, high-energy performances of these pieces, will offer the first and third suites in what promises to be a captivating evening!
