Led by Baroque violin soloist, Daniel Lee, Early Music Missouri brings Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons to the ECC stage. Probably the best-known program music in the classical repertoire, these concerti depict roiling streams, wintery blasts, dancing peasants, baying dogs and more. Performed by a chamber ensemble playing period instruments, this concert offers listeners an exciting introduction to the sounds of Vivaldi’s musical world.

In addition, the East Central College Choir will join singers and instrumentalists from Early Music Missouri for a performance of excerpts from Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria. This collaboration is part of Early Music Missouri’s regular outreach activities which include workshops, master classes, lecture/performances and collaborative performances.

This concert will be held at East Central College (1964 Prairie Dell Road, Union, MO 63084) in John Edson Anglin Performing Arts Center. Parking adjacent the concert hall is free. Reserved parking, elevators and ramps are available for anyone needing special accommodations.

Early Music Missouri is the region’s foremost promoter and presenter of Early Music concerts. Its performances feature Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque repertoire performed on period instruments by expert performers from the region and nation. For more information, visit earlymusicmissouri.net.
