L.A. Camerata and the UCLA Early Music Ensemble present this semi-staged production of the full length opera by Francesca Caccini (1587-1641) composed in 1625, represents the first opera written by a woman composer. Featuring L.A. Camerata singers, UCLA EME Baroque orchestra, choir, and a cameo by the Polish Prince Władysław IV Vasa (Aex Barrios).
