Enjoy the holiday spirit on the baroque traverso! In this interactive online workshop, we’ll be looking at three French noëls which offer wonderful opportunities to practice French baroque ornamentation. These are simple yet beautiful melodies which also provide the perfect place to learn and experiment with free ornamentation. Expect also some fun duetting time while tickling your brain and fingers with this timeless music! We’ll be using the “Brunettes ou petits airs a II dessus” by M.r R** (most likely Jean Jacques Rippert) as our basis and will also look at other sources to learn about style and ornamentation. We’ll be studying Ou s’en vont ces gays Bergers, Or nous dites Marie, and Joseph est bien marié.
