Andrew Willis explores the historical development of keyboard instruments and their performance practice while remaining committed to the study, performance, and teaching of the widest possible range of repertoire. Now Professor Emeritus of Music at the UNC Greensboro School of Music, where he taught instruments ranging from harpsichord to modern piano and founded the school’s historical performance ensemble, he participates frequently in conferences, festivals, and concert series and serves as Artistic Consultant to the Cornell Center for Historical Keyboards. Willis holds degrees from The Curtis Institute of Music, Temple University, and Cornell University, having studied under the guidance of Mieczyslaw Horszowski, Lambert Orkis, and Malcolm Bilson respectively.
