Biography
Daniel Green (trombone) studied tuba and music education at the Hartt School of Music. Soon after graduating, Dan discovered the unique sound of renaissance and baroque music, first as a recorder player and then later on trombone. Dan quickly became sought after as a freelance historic trombone player, appearing with Bach Sinfonia, Boston Baroque, Spiritus Collective, New York’s Grande Bande, ARTEK and Arcadia Players. His recording credits include the Amherst Early Music Festival, New York’s Grande Bande, and ARTEK in their acclaimed recording of Monteverdi’s Orfeo with Jeffrey Thomas. Dan also had the opportunity to play sackbut and recorder on Broadway in productions of Shakespeare’s Richard III and Twelfth Night. Dan can also be heard playing tuba with Charter Oak Brass Band and the Thread City Brass Quintet.
