Biography
Zoe Vandermeer is a soprano and triple harpist specializing in Baroque, Classical, Bel Canto repertoire and her own compositions. She performs as a soprano soloist in oratorio, chamber music and opera, and has given solo soprano/harp performances at the Bloomington Early Music Festival (2024), Connecticut Early Music Festival (2023), International Festival de Deia Spain, Rio International Harp Festival Brasil, Glasgow International Early Music Festival, American Harp Society, Somerset International Harp Festival, Gotham Early Music NYC, American Swedish Historical Museum Philadelphia, University of Massachusetts, and elsewhere. She teaches singing, historical harp and lever harp. Currently pursuing her PhD in music research at the University of Birmingham, England, she is a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Zoe Vandermeer was named to the Roster of the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism in 2011, and is a recipient of the Hartt School Faculty Development Fund, CT Office of the Arts Grant, MNTA Foundation Grant for research, and others. Her Carnegie Hall debut took place in 2014. Ms. Vandermeer won the Bronze Medal for singing (2021) and the Silver Medal for singing and composition (2022) by Global Music Awards.
