IndyBaroque Music, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Gries as Interim Board President, effective June 1, 2021. Gries will succeed Board President and former Executive Director Leela Breithaupt, who will assume the role of Executive Director of Bach Choir of Bethlehem, in Bethlehem, PA.
“Rachel is absolutely the best person to serve as IBO Interim Board president,” says long-time board member Tom Gerber. “Her commitment to the IBO is seen in her many years of beautiful artistic contribution as principal violist, as well as astute organizational contribution as Board member and Treasurer. Her deep knowledge of the “business” of the IBO, as well as a rock-steady belief in the group’s vision, will help ensure a smooth and successful transition from the period of Leela Breithaupt’s superb leadership as Board President into the future.”
Rachel brings a well-rounded and extensive knowledge of the organization’s development over the past few years. She currently serves as Principal Violist of IBO and will transition out of the Board Treasurer position to fulfill this new role.
