Harpsishordist Satono Norizuki will discuss and demonstrate the clavisimbalum, a medieval precursor to the harpsichord, in her home performance for Midtown Concerts. The program includes the selections from the Codex Faenza 117 and Robertsbridge Codex, two of the earliest sources of liturgical and secular keyboard music.
