London’s celebrated vocal ensemble Siglo de Oro, directed by Patrick Allies, brings a program of sacred music for their debut Seattle performance in the splendid acoustics of St. James Cathedral. The ensemble, best known for its work in early music with a repertoire stretching from Hildegard of Bingen to Dieterich Buxtehude, is also dedicated to performing contemporary music. “Renaissance Reflections” offers music from the Renaissance era paired with modern compositions, spotlighting the artistic range of Siglo de Oro.
